The Diary of Gareth Austin (Zombie story) is almost 10,000 words long. I did research on lengivity of novels and the average novel is 10,000 words at least, now my story isn't nearly over yet, so i'm happy to say that when this is completed, i will have written my first novel, for better or worse, on bookstore shelves or just a pile of pages in the corner of my room, i did something that mattered, maybe not to you are everyone around me, but to me, it is a personal accomplishment.
This is not the only book i'm working on however. At the moment, I am alternating between two seperate stories, the "Diary of Gareth Austin" and "The Jurilai Experiment" And just recently, i started to work on the first book of the story "The Nectrum Flaw"
The issue with the zombie story is that i know exactly where i'm going, its just that i hit a part where i cant' seem to decide how they are going go about a certain thing, and so i want to think on it. Sometimes the ideas come right off the bat, other times, they slowly build into something terrible. In the meantime, i'm goin to work on Nectrum.
The story of Nectrum has been in my mind for years upon years and since i demand only perfection from myself, i never felt comfortable with my ability to create something this serious until recently.
Nectrum is a story that i cannot summarize in one sentence, not even in a whole paragraph. I will just write chapters and see if they get read by people. If they read it i'd be thrilled. If they don't, i'll at least have a secondary source for recovering it if my computer ends up getting destroyed by viruses.
Like I said, i have been contemplating this tale for five to six years now and It is now time to put it together. This isn't something i'm going to take for granted and for that reason, i'm not going to put it all on here. Just enough. Call me paranoid, but i don't want to see some asshole building credability off of my work.
